Power supply requirement
Indoor Events We will require a 230 volt mains supply. It must be correctly wired and recently tested. We require 3 seperate 13 amp outlets (power sockets) on one ring main and a fourth on a different ring main for our lighting rig (if required) so as not to overload your supply or our cables. The PA Sound System & on stage equipment carry a maximum Current load of 26Amps. Power for the on and off stage equipment must come from the same ring main. Other items of the venue's electrical equipment such as lights, dishwashers, freezers, cooling and bar equipment etc, must not feed from the same circuit to be used by our sound equipment. Outdoor Events
Generator requirements. We insist that where a suitable mains supply is not available, the organisers of outdoor events provide generators which are technically suitable for running both our sound and lighting equipment., as well as your other requirements without the possibilty of overloading the generator. The type of generator required is at least a 20KVA generator with a 3 phase output at 230volts, with 13A distribution board and all associated cables. We will require exclusive use of two separate phases of the 3 phase output. The generator must be capable of supplying a clean power output, such as that suitable for running computer equipment.
Please Note: An industrial or small portable generator will not be suitable. The Generator must be capable of quiet and continuous running for up to 12 hours without attendance. It must be available and running for our technical sound check before the event. It must be safety checked and earthed according to health & safety regulations. If used to supply power for other users at the event only the spare 3rd phase may be used and total capacity of the generator must not be exceeded. A local firm that provide such equipment are SHC of Skipton. Please contact is Steve McNulty on 01756 700205 or 07730 050355. Steve will be pleased to provide advice and a quote. The booking form which is a contract between yourselves and the band refers to the above requirement being met. The incorrect type of generator would cause considerable damage to our equipment which is valued at £15,000. It is a condition of booking that this requirement is met. Stage Size requirement.
Ideally we will need a stage measuring 24 feet by 12 feet. Although we know most local venues, we are happy to visit your venue prior to your booking us if in doubt. Set up and Sound check time.
Please be aware: Kelly’s Eye has equipment set up time on stage of up to 1 ½ hours plus a sound check period of up to 30 minutes and performance preparation of at least 30 minutes. (So for an event scheduled to start at 8.00pm the band and crew will need access to the venue by 5.30pm at the very latest.) If guests are taking a meal or other function before the band is scheduled to play, suitable access to the stage and the set up time must be allowed for either before the meal or at an appropriate time before hand. Approximately 1 hour (minimum) will be required to dismantle and remove all equipment after the event. Failure to note these requirements may mean we cannot meet scheduled performance times.
